Villa Tevere, situated near Rome in the central part of Italy in Umbria, has been restored to the highest standards with it's swimming pool, modern gym and is available for rent year-round. The property enjoys a secluded south-facing hillside location between the historic Umbrian hill towns of Todi and Orvieto with beautiful views over the valley of the river Tiber and the verdant Umbrian countryside.

It is surrounded by a mature and well-tended garden and is tastefully furnished and well equipped. This vacation rental property provides spacious accommodation for eight people and the property includes a pool, fitness room, computer with internet access, English-language satellite TV, DVD, video and book library.

Villa Location near Rome

Villa Tevere is located on the south-facing slopes of the valley of the river Tiber 3 km from the village of Casemasce. The historic town of Todi is 10 km to the east and the world famous hill town of Orvieto is 25km to the west. The property of 2.5 acres is served by a one kilometer long un-made road which is passable for normal road vehicles. Directions to Villa Tevere are provided at the time of booking.

Access. Due to its secluded location, visitors to Villa Tevere will require a vehicle. Our preferred local rental agency is Agostini Autos of Ponte Naia, Todi. Agostini Autos offer service with a smile including airport pick-up and drop off. English, Spanish and Italian spoken. Rates are competitive and all sizes of vehicles are offered each of which is maintained by Agostini’s own mechanical service center. The area around Villa Tevere offers all the amenities you would expect to find in Umbria which is known throughout the country as the green heart of Italy. The historic towns, the countryside, the food, the wine all combine to make this one of the most delightful parts of the country.

Additional Services

Villa Tevere is serviced by a house keeper (3 hours per day, 5 days per week) and a gardener. These services are included in the rental price. In addition the house keeper can work extra hours if guests so desire (payable directly to the housekeeper). The housekeeper is also available to cook. Food stuffs purchased will be charged at cost and an hourly rate will be charged for food preparation.

Price list

Villa Tevere is available for exclusive rental so that guests are not required to share any of the facilities. The rental period is per week running from Saturday to Saturday and seasons are defined as off-peak, summer and high summer.

Details and rates are as follows:

A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking with the full balance payable 2 months before arrival. A refundable deposit of 300 Euros (via cheque or cash) is required on arrival from which telephone charges and any damages will be deducted.

Umbrian Vacation and Villa Rental Description

Villa Tevere occupies a south-facing hillside location high above the river Tiber. The property of 2.5 acres is fenced and secluded although it is within easy reach of the village of Casemasce (3km), Todi (10km) and Orvieto (25km). Rome is a 90 minute drive away (or 50 minutes by train from Orvieto) and the historic centres of Perugia, Siena, Assisi and Gubbio are all within easy reach.

The property is surrounded by mature and well tended gardens with olive groves and a fruit orchard. The pool (14m x 3.5m) is located high on the hillside with fantastic views of the Umbrian countryside and is an excellent sun-trap. Sun loungers, umbrellas and a covered dining area mean that is possible to spend all day within jumping distance of the refreshing water. For the energetic, the fitness room is close by and is equipped with top-quality Technogym equipment including a tread mill, a static bike, a stair master and a multi-gym. The main house and adjacent guest house offer three double and one twin bedded rooms. The main house also includes two rooms with comfortable sofa beds offering additional sleeping space. The barbecue area adjacent to the kitchen is an excellent place to enjoy outside dining whilst breakfast on the terrace in front of the main house is an idyllic way to start the day. This terrace also has comfortable rattan sofas and armchairs under the wisteria in which to partake of pre-dinner drinks or post-prandial night caps.

Inside the main house the living room has comfy sofas and floor cushions around a huge open fire place. The dining room seats 14 and also has an open fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a west facing picture window on to the garden catching the late evening sun. Downstairs accommodation is completed by the TV room which can double as an extra bedroom with sofa bed and ensuite bathroom. English-language Sky TV, DVDs and videos are provided. Upstairs the main house has two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a study with computer/internet access. The study also has a sofa bed. The guest house, which is only 10 meters from the main house has one double bedroom, one twin bedded room and a bathroom shared between the two. In front there is a flower garden and seating area with a fine view over the valley.
